Description: Huge 17th Century Italian Neapolitan School view of Posillipo from the Riviera Di Chiaia, oil on canvas by Angelo Maria Costa. Excellent quality and important historical example of the artists work painted on a much larger scale than usual, probably done as a private commission. Costa who was one of the earliest great painters of the Neapolitan coast capturing both its natural beauty and culture. Unframed Condition: Excellent for its age with little notable restoration. Some small tears near the bottom stretcher. Would be enhanced with a professional clean. Measurements: 48" x 30" framed approx
