Description: Massive oil on canvas painting by Angelo Maria Costa from the Italian Neapolitan School, depicting Posillipo from the Riviera di Chiaia. A very good and significant historical example of the artist's work, it was probably made as a private commission and was painted on a significantly greater size than normal. One of the earliest famous painters of the Neapolitan coast, Costa captured both the region's cultural and natural grandeur. Dimensions: approximately 57" x 39" framed
