Description: Oil on canvas, Alfred Sisley, large view of The River Somme in the 19th century with a little settlement in the background. Excellent quality and condition painted in the 1890s, showing a little village off in the distance and the river Somme from the bank. The painting is credited to Sisley and is shown in its original antique gilded frame. The painting is in good original condition for its age and has a long history of ownership with a single family.
