Description: Fine large 18th century View of Westminster bridge from the Thames, oil on canvas by William Marlow. Extensive view from the Thames overtaking the boats sailing upon the waters of the Thames with the distinct architecture of Westminster and the bridge in the distance. Superb detail the the calm waters, intricate finishing of the buildings all set beneath an expansive cloud filled sky typical of mallows painting from the period. Unsigned as with most works from the period but the style is unique and with accompanying plaque to the frame. Very good condition and rare early London view of the highest quality by a leading painter on the subject. Measurements: 48" x 33" framed
