Description: 19th-century oval French Neapolitan young nubile lady feeding goat with flowers, large genre pastel painting. By the well-known French artist Fantin Latour Theodore, who was born in 1805. Pastel on canvas-backed paper. "Woman Feeding Flowers To A Goat" is the title. A heavenly beautiful blue and white sky is in the background as you see the front profile of the attractive nubile young woman who is dressed in a blue and white traditional country dress, wearing a vibrant textured red headscarf, wearing an earring, and gazing down at the goat with tenderness. The pastel hues are robust and striking. Although unsigned, the brushstrokes match the artist's style as seen in his other listed works.
