Description: Portrait of a Young Aristocrat French School, circa 1800's circle of Louis Leopold Boilly (1761-1845) oil painting on canvas, framed canvas: 16 x 13.5 inches frame: 21 x 18 inches. Very fine portrait of a distinguished young French gentleman, dating to the early 1800's. Beautifully detailed, especially to the sitters clothing, as well as the soft tones to his features, as well as subtle lighting behind him. Very close in every respect to the famous French artist Louis Leopold Boilly (1761-1845) and quite possibly either by him or a studio work.
