Description: Noteworthy corrections: Beati Brunonis Ep[iscop]i herbipolen[sis] psalterij prologus. Breuis comentato... by Bruno, the German bishop of Wurzburg [Georg Reyser]; circa 1485–1489274 of the 280 leaves. Printed in Gothic type with two columns, in red and black.Has room for first hand-rubberization. (Folio) 28.8x20 cm (11¼x8"); complete blind-tooled pigskin over wood with metal clasps; front and rear metal bosses missing. Nearly full incunable German psalter in Latin, edited and annotated by Bruno, the Bishop of Wurzburg. The psalter text is set in large type in the center column, while Bruno's commentary is set in smaller type on the surrounding columns. Ten early bookmarks with Vulgate numbering—psalms 1, 26, 38, 52, 68, 80, 97, 109, 118, and 148—pasted down the fore-edge. One early inscription on the front pastedown. Very nice condition; few wormholes in the binding, but otherwise clean and brilliant.
