Text in Italian: Nicholas Leonicus Thomaeus (Italian: Niccolo Leonico Tomeo, 1456–1531), a Venetian scholar and professor of philosophy, Greek, and Latin at the University of Padua, was born into an Albanian family. This is the first vernacular edition of his learned collection.
