Description: HISTORIA RERUM VENETARUM AB URBE CONDITA AD ANNUM MDCLXXV. by IUSTINIANUS, Petrus Venice; 1576 Folio: 6 by 13" pp. [88]-468 [= 458]-[1 bl.-1] pp. Pietro Giustinian (1497-1576) wrote an extensive history of Venice. It has a woodcut mark at the end and on the title. The book's provenance is listed as Andrew Fletcher of Saltoun (1653-1716), a Scottish politician and collector (name at head of title; P. Willems, Bibl. Fletcheriana, p. 119). The original limp vellum is titled on the bottom edge, the front hinge is broken, and the spine has some damage.
