[Printer of the Jordanus de Quedlinburg (Georg Husner),] Strassburg, 1495—two volumes, 380 leaves, [*8] 2-46 a b8 c–f6.8 g h6 i–y8.6 z8 A–M6.8 N–Q6 R–Y8.6 Z8 AA6 BB8 CC DD6 EE8 are included in the Chancery folio (283 x 196 mm). 370 leaves, 2A8 B C6 aa bb8 cc–qq6.8 rr–tt6 vv–zz8.62AA–QQ8.6 RR SS6 TT–YY8.6 ZZ8 Aaa–Eee6 double column, 52 lines, plus foliations make up part II. Gothic type, initial spaces, four woodcut illustrations, a few modern marginal notes, cancellation of text lines, and nota signs (including maniculae) in brown ink throughout "I-CCCLV" (I, fos a1-EE7) and "I-CCCXLIX" (II, fos 2A1-EEE6); contemporary blind-stamped Italian sheep over wooden boards; Size 8 by 11" paper labels on spines; two clasps; bindings; worn and repaired; lacking straps. PROVENANCE: The late fifteenth-century inscriptions on the title, "Iste liber fuit est et erit ad usum fratris Alexandri de Cortona [?]" (fols [*1r], 2A1r) and "Iste liber pertinet ad locum sancte Margheritae de Cortona [--] / [--] fratris [Alexandri] [--]" (fos EE8v, EEE6v) may identify the Franciscan Capuchins of the convent of Santa Margherita in Cortona.
