Description: One exquisite antique oil painting by a Scottish artist depicting "Burn Trout" J. B. Russell's Freshly Caught Trout Fish. "Burn Trout" is the title. Examining a trout fish that has just been caught and spilled out of the brown basket by the river. In 1914, they were captured in Scotland's Ayrshire region's Culroy Burn river. Weir & Clyde Carvers & Gilders, 463 Eglinton Street Glasgow, old label verso. on a canvas, oil. The colors are quite vivid. The Scottish artist signed J B Russell in red in the bottom corner. A good illustration of his work. set in a classic yet fashionable moulded gold frame. Early 20th century, perhaps 1914.
