Description: Beautiful oil on oak panel painting of the Pieta from the 16th century by a Dutch Old Master. Beautiful image showing the Virgin Mary holding the body of Christ in her arms. Displayed in a big antique wooden frame with arches. Good panel stability and excellent surface condition considering its age. Overpainting in certain areas. comparable to the paintings from the era of Massys and Van Cleeve. Measuring around 30" by 24" when framed.
