Description: 19th century English fishing vessels In the English Channel William Henry Williamson was a gifted, London painter of coastal scenes, particularly of the south coast. He exhibited at Suffolk Street, the British Institute and the Royal Academy from 1853-75. One of the titles at the RA was 'Off the Coast of Kent'. This is a very bright and colorful example of the artists work. Painted as one of a pair both paintings are equally good quality. Both have been cleaned and recently re-varnished and are in good original condition. They have also been reframed in new hand made English gold leaf frames.
