Description: 19th-century Austrian portrait of a young girl in a pretty white and red dress.This piece came from a collection of portraits which included another example of the artist's work. The piece is also inscribed 'Vien', so either the artist lived and painted this piece in Vienna or the sitter lived in Vienna. The painting has been cleaned and re-varnished and the frame has also been restored in the UK. This example by Simonson is signed and dated 1862.
