Description: Johannes Hentenius, Commentaria luculentissima vetustissimorum graecorum theologorum in omnes D. Pauli epistolas ab oecumenio exactè. Jean David, Jean Foucher, and Paris, 1547 Measuring 4 by 6 1/4" (15 by 10 cm). 3/4 leather, marbled boards, title engraved in gold on the spine. The one and only edition. Johannes Hententius, a Flemish Dominican and Bible exegete, wrote a commentary on Paul's letters between 1500 and 1566. Part of the pages have wormholes in the margins, which have generally been mended. The final few leaves have dampstains. Hentenius (John Henten) was a Flemish Dominican biblical exegete who lived from 1499 until 1566. He gained notoriety in 1547 with his Vulgate version.
