Description: Pair of English hunting oil paintings from the early 19th century, Liberty & Industry Horses authored by Francis Calcraft Turner. Subject Equine horse hunting study of two bay hunters, the first with a white coat and the name "Liberty," galloping towards a fence with a river below. To the other flank are 2 huntsmen in full traditional hunting dress red coats charging on brown and black horses, one rider has his black hat off and is holding forward as he charges. With large trees further back, a lone fox is being pursued by a pack of scent foxhounds. with a cloudy sky and bits of blue visible in the sky. The second horse, "Industry," has a brown coat and is facing left while in full stride jumping over a fence with a little creek below it as it prepares to land on the brink of the river. There was a white and black horse off in the distance, and three more white horses were over there looking the other way. Stunning countryside vista, with some big trees on either flank in the distance. Mostly cloudy with an occasional glimpse of blue in the upper left corner. The vivid and bright paint colors make them stick out. "Pair Hunting Liberty & Industry" is the title.
