Description: One exceptional Scottish artwork, an antique oil painting by John McGhie featuring William Muirhead of Messrs., Glasgow Iron & Steel Merchant. Mr. William Muirhead, of Messrs., William Muirhead (Limited), Mount Vernon Iron & Steel Works, is shown in this half-length front profile photograph (1855–1923). With his fine suit jacket, white shirt, and tie, and his mustache, he seems like such an outstanding, distinguished gentleman. Early 20th century, about 1916. Signed by well-known Scottish artist John McGhie. shown in a pretty gilded silver and outside frame with a metal wire hanging thread on the back. Canvas coated in oil.
