Description: One excellent oil painting from the 19th century made in Britain Following James Pollard is the Royal Mail Carriage Coach with Horses. Interest of royal mail collectors This image depicts a fascinating sight of four magnificent, renowned horses galloping along a country road while an old Royal Mail carriage coach is being pulled by horses. The coachman, dressed in a beautiful red jacket, is driving and holding the reins in one hand. He is holding a whip in his other hand. To his left, a boy is seated next to him. Passengers wearing caps and elegant clothing, including distinguished ladies and gentlemen, trail behind. A woman in an elegant pink and white outfit is seen inside the carriage, her hand raised and lowered to point to the figures of children standing by the side of the road. Another soldier in a crimson uniform is blowing a horn bugle toward the back. A dog is rushing at the bottom, and a cloud of dust is rising from the dirt road. A big stately home sits atop a hill to the far right, with views of the surrounding countryside that include rolling hills, birds in the sky above, and distant deer below. The carriage has the name and crest of the Royal Mail. With their striking perspective and brilliant colors, these pieces make for wonderful discussion starters. Not signed.
