Description: The Old and New Testaments of the Bible are considered sacred texts. The text was translated using Ebrew and Greek, and the best translations in a variety of languages were granted. Robert Barker printed the book in London in 1610, and the title was printed within a decorative woodcut border. The text was written in black letters and was double columned. A full page woodcut depicting Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden was torn and trimmed, with some loss and repair to the inner and lower margins. A few woodcut illustrations were included, and the preliminary leaf A3 was misbound before A2, as well as apocrypha. Before 4M2, the New Testament title (4M1) is present, tattered with text loss, lined on the verso, and misbound. 5E3 is torn, with one half of the leaf missing. Occasional repairs are made to the margins of a few preliminary leaves. A few leaves have closed tears and light cropping. S1, 4G6, 4K3, and 4M2 have small holes with minor text loss. 2L6's foremargin is torn, with a slight loss to marginal notes. 2Y1 is torn at the head, with a loss to the running title. This 19th-century half calf binding folio measures 8 by 11 1/4" (27.5 x 18.5 cm).
