Description: 19th century English still life of Yellow Roses/flowers in an interior. John Fitz Marshall was a painter of animals, landscapes and flower subjects. He was educated in and spent most of his life in Croydon. He is also thought to be the son of John Marshall (exh. Royal Academy 1840-69)7 This is a very fine example for the artists work. He has captured the color, shape, balance and vibrancy of the flowers against a striking red background very well. The piece is an oil on board and has been framed in a Vintage English gold wood frame
